The water level is surprisingly accurate as well.

The controls on the Black and Decker DCM2500B are very easy to use. You definitely do not have to be a computer expert to fathom how to use it. The display is also very easy to understand, with large characters and backlit well to make it that much more visible.

Programming the unit couldn’t be simpler, the manual is almost not necessary, but is there is soon to hand if you have any difficulties. The brewing process is enhanced with the implementation of a shower head over the standard stream water delivery method. This really does create a consistently smooth taste.

The filter basket is removed easily for cleaning, something lacking on some other coffee makers I have seen. A nice feature to have for sure.

This machine is outstanding as a basic simple coffee maker, it doesn’t try to be anything more than that, if what you want is something a little more extravagant, then you might be advised to try one of the Keurig coffee makers. That old saying does come into play though, you pay for what you get. Here you pay for a simple no-frills coffee maker, and that is what you get. A very good one at that too.
